The Awareness Film & Arts Festival has announced their
official selections, which includes “Yo Yo,” by Debbie
Bledsoe and Jon Mac.
The festival held May 2010, in Los Angeles and Santa
Monica, has plans to go on a tour of major cities with its award winning selections.
Debbie Bledsoe and Jon Mac are honored to be part of this important film festival.
“It’s a great opportunity for this little film to raise awareness for children with Autism,” said Bledsoe. “We understand there will be a group of children and teachers who will watch the screening as part of their field trip. What a great way to perhaps spark some hope and change for children with developmental disabilities and children with milder spectrums who often go undiagnosed, or misdiagnosed.”
Awareness Festival is a dynamic film festival promoting awareness of today’s issues through exploration of lifestyle, education, entertainment and art. It’s an elaborative
fusion of filmmakers, film students, audiences and other industry professionals to communicate trends and the social and economic impact of today’s Ecological, Health/Well Being and Political/Lands without border issues in an extremely engaging, entertaining and unique way through fun-filled festival screenings in Los Angeles and Santa Monica, California.
The festival recognizes that today film is not just about entertainment, but it’s also about education and awareness. There is nothing as liberating as allowing filmmakers to make films and have a platform to show them while exhibiting their social and economic responsibilities.
